Disassembly and assembly of the drive half shaft

Removal of the drive half shaft:

1. Use tools to remove the connecting lock nut between the drive shaft and the hub.

2. Unscrew the wheel speed sensor wiring harness on the steering knuckle and the fixing screws on
 the brake hose.

3. Unscrew the fixing screw of the brake hose on the shock absorber.

4. Unscrew the brake hose connector on the brake caliper body.

5. Use a tool to remove the lower ball nut of the steering knuckle.

6. Remove the bolts connecting the shock absorber and the lower connecting rod, and separate 

them.

7. Use special tools to separate the outer ball head of the steering tie rod from the steering knuckle.

8. Remove the connecting rod connecting the lower link and the stabilizer rod.

9. Use special tools to separate the steering knuckle ball joint from the lower link.

10. Take out the drive shaft assembly.

11. Take out the ball.

12. Take out the stop ring and the cross shaft.

13. First take out the two clamps of the protective sleeve of the transmission shaft.

14. Knock out the drive shaft ball cage assembly with a copper rod.

15. Clean all parts of the drive shaft.

16. When disassembling the drive shaft ball cage assembly, first pay attention to the installation 
direction of the ball cage frame and the ball cage hub.

17. Decompose the drive shaft ball cage assembly and take out the ball cage steel balls.

18. Take out the cage hub first.

19. Take out the ball cage

20. Then clean and dry all parts and check for damage, if any, it must be replaced.


Installation of drive half shaft:

1. Install the ball cage frame into the outer ball cage first, and then load the ball hub and steel ball.

2. Install the ball cage hub into the ball cage frame.

3. Then put the steel balls into the rails between the cage hubs of the cage frame.

4. After installation, check that the different angles of the ball hub should move freely.

5. Press the grease into the ball cage assembly and stir evenly.

6. Install the drive shaft into one end of the ball cage assembly, and tap the drive shaft in place 
with a hammer; coat the inner ring of the protective sleeve with lubricating oil and then install it 
into the drive shaft.

7. Put another protective suit on in the same way.

8. Install the cross shaft and install it in place.

9. Install the stop ring.

10. Install the balls.

11. Add grease to the inner ball cage of the drive shaft.

12. Install the drive shaft.

13. Add an appropriate amount of grease.

14. Put on the protective cover.

15. Add an appropriate amount of grease to the outer ball cage of the drive shaft.

16. Put on the protective cover.

17. Replace the old protective sleeve clamp with a new one, and clamp it with snap ring pliers.

18. Use clamps to clamp both ends of the protective sleeve of the ball fork drum.

19. Install the drive shaft assembly into the differential.

20. Then knock the drive shaft assembly firmly into place.

21. Install the drive shaft into the hub.

22. Install the lower ball joint of the steering knuckle on the lower connecting rod, and tighten the
 lock nut.

23. Connect the tie rod ball head to the steering knuckle, and tighten the fastening nut.

24. Install the brake hose and tighten the screws.

25. Install the connecting lock nut between the drive shaft and the hub, and tighten it.
